Liberty (C) Sweeps Mount Sterling
Sunday, September 24th, 1995
The Giants rolled over Mount Sterling 5-2 at M&M's Field to easily win the 1995 World Series crown.

Liberty (C) won in a walk and swept the series from the Gladiators 4-0. It was their 3rd championship title.

The winning manager praised his own club as well as the opposition, "It wasn't as easy as it looked. We had to play good baseball to beat them. The Gladiators are a fine team, but we always seemed to come up with the key hit at the right time and to make the the plays on defense when we had to. That's how you win the World Series."

The Giants took first place in the Division and rounded out the year with a 83-62 record.
Simons Signs for 6 years
Saturday, September 23rd, 1995
Happy times in Park City (C) as the Patriots and star third baseman Davey Simons put the finishing touches on a $102,000,000 contract extension that will keep the 27-year-old in town 6 years longer.

The signing is great news for Park City (C) because players of this caliber are hard to come by.

Simons is hitting .259 so far this season with 50 RBIs and 61 runs scored. He has 85 hits including 17 home runs, 43 walks and .347 OBP.
