The Mount Sterling Gladiators ace certainly has the numbers to take it, topping the Federal League with 20 wins, 1.25 ERA and 263 strikeouts to win the Pitching Triple Crown. "It's a great accomplishment," Alexander said told reporters, "but my main goal is to go out there and win every game. The stats are nice, but they don't tell the whole story. The 20 wins are what I'm most proud of." |
