Flores Hits .364 to Earn CL Crown

The Colonial League batting race ended with Liberty's Vicente Flores on top with a .364 average. The Giants third baseman was officially named the winner today. For the season he totaled 140 hits, 22 home runs with 79 RBIs and 75 runs scored. At the award ceremony Flores told reporters the key to his hitting success this season. "I stayed focused and tried to get a hit in every at-bat."
