Kingston Lions Ship Jones to Newport
Thursday, July 26th, 1990
A trade was announced today at a press conference in Kingston. Not satisfied with their current roster, the Kingston Lions general manager shook things up by acquiring 25-year-old starting pitcher Eric Frazier from the Newport Navigators for 34-year-old third baseman Walt Jones and 19-year-old shortstop Emerson Marsh. The Lions general manager said, "We're a better team now. We've added several pieces to the puzzle."

Presently Jones is batting .249 with 74 hits and 9 home runs. He has knocked in 33 runs and scored 28 times.

This season Frazier has fanned 85 in 131 innings and collected a 9-9 record with a 3.64 ERA.
