Star CL Signs Pact with Navigators Sunday, September 10th, 1995 Team officials triumphantly announced that the Navigators and superstar closer Miguel Pellicer have closed a deal that keeps the 30-year-old in a Newport uniform for another 1 year. Pellicer will earn $13,500,000 as part of the settlement. This season Pellicer has 5 saves. In 8 relief appearances he has tossed 9.2 innings, struck out 11 and issued 2 walks with a 0-2 record. The Newport reliever has recorded a 2.79 ERA and allowed the opposition to hit .257 when he is in the game. |
