Liberty (F)'s Bly FL Top Pitcher
Friday, September 1st, 1995
"The kid had it all working last month," a veteran teammate told reporters. "He keeps up those kind of numbers, we might have to start inviting him out with us after the games."
Cliff Bly put together a very solid month to take home the Federal League's top pitching honor in August.
The 23-year-old reliever threw like a veteran. In 15 relief appearances he raked in 13 saves and 10 strikeouts in 15.1 innings as he put together his 1-0 record and 0.59 ERA.
In the 1995 campaign Bly has 33 saves. In 62 relief appearances he has tossed 64 innings, struck out 42 and yielded 17 walks with a 4-5 record. The Liberty (F) reliever has recorded a 2.25 ERA and allowed the opposition to hit .234 when he is in the game.
