Cyclones Chill Williams's Hot Streak
Friday, August 11th, 1995
The Centerville Cyclones pitching did its job today, holding hot-hitting Lonnie Williams hitless in 1 at-bat during a 5-3 victory over the Fremont Tigers at Tiger Stadium. This disappointing performance ended his 21-game hitting streak.

"I'm a little down right now," Williams said after the game. "I couldn't get anything going when the team needed me, and I hated to see the streak end, too."

For the season, Williams is hitting at a .277 clip with 7 home runs, 36 RBIs and has scored 36 runs. He has 90 hits, 22 walks and a .325 on-base percentage.
