20-Game Hitting Streak for Williams Tuesday, August 8th, 1995 It has been quite a while since somebody stopped Lonnie Williams without a hit in a game. The Kings couldn't do it in today's game at Teflon Field. The Fremont Tigers right fielder banged out 2 hits and extended his hitting streak to 20 consecutive games in his club's 4-3 victory. Lonnie Williams hit an RBI single in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, flied out in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and grounded out in the 9th. Thus far this year Williams is hitting .278 with 7 home runs, 36 RBIs and 36 runs scored. |
