Jones Will Sit Out 2 Games, Suspended by League Tuesday, August 1st, 1995 It was both entertaining and embarrassing to see. Centerville catcher Dan Jones really got rowdy at Centerville Stadium yesterday in a game against the Park City (F) Kings. It all started with a called third strike and ended up with Jones being ejected from the game. In between he screamed at several umpires, kicked dirt on them and made several obscene gestures. All of this is frowned upon by the league office. Today they suspended Jones for 2 games. He could not be reached today for comment. This year Jones has hit at a .125 clip with 0 RBIs, no home runs and 1 run scored. |
