José Díaz Sidelined for 3 Weeks Wednesday, June 28th, 1995 Disappointing news today for Capital City Senators fans. José Díaz was hurt making a defensive play in their game against the Irondale Steelers and has a sprained thumb. Team trainers were hesitant to predict a date for return but said it was likely the injury will keep the center fielder out at least 3 weeks. Presently Díaz is batting .264 with 8 home runs and 33 RBIs. He has played in 64 games and scored 25 times. |
