John Socks it to Clippers, Cracks 5 Hits Saturday, August 20th, 1994 "It was almost like batting practice. I saw the ball very well and could just about hit it anywhere I wanted." That's what Capital City second baseman Drake John said to BNN reporters after his fantastic 5-5 day against the Portsmouth Clippers at Senators Ballpark. "I got some good counts and used the whole field." The Senators had a good day, too, and won the ballgame 13-1. Drake John doubled in the 1st, tripled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and hit an RBI single in the 7th. John is currently hitting at a .251 pace with 7 home runs and 48 RBIs. |
