Portsmouth 1992 World Series Champions Tuesday, September 29th, 1992 1992 has been good to the Portsmouth Clippers. Not only did they end up in first place during the regular season with a 91-53 record, they were the Continental Baseball League champions. The Clippers won the World Series for the 2nd time. A 4-3 triumph over the Mount Sterling Gladiators at Mountainview Stadium brought home the trophy to Portsmouth. They won the series 4-2. |
