Gladiators Blank Fremont, Davis Winner Friday, September 18th, 1992 Daniel Davis was in command in his outing against the Fremont Tigers. He hurled the Mount Sterling Gladiators to a 1-0 shutout victory, yielded 5 hits and chalked up 7 strikeouts and no walks. "A complete-game shutout. That's fun territory for me," he told reporters in the postgame interview. "I had good balance and mechanics and was able to keep the ball down. When I do that, good things happen." This year Davis has a 17-9 mark in 30 starts with a 2.89 ERA. He has given up 183 hits in 196.1 innings, struck out 121 and issued 31 walks.
