More Woes For Tigers José Martínez Tuesday, August 25th, 1992 Fremont got some bad news today concerning left fielder José Martínez. He is recovering from a sprained thumb. Club doctors have extended his time of return to 5 weeks, saying his injury has not responded well to treatment. It is worse than they first diagnosed. Martínez is presently hitting at a .273 pace with 17 home runs, 51 RBIs and has scored 72 times. |
