Liberty (C) center fielder Danny Wilson almost did it all today. He sent three shots out of the ballpark, scored 4 times and drove in 4 runs and had 4 hits in 4 at-bats, but the Giants were beaten 7-6 by the Irondale Steelers.

"I'd be lying if I said I didn't like hitting three homers, but losing takes a little glitter off the game," he admitted to BNN writers after the game.

After his standout performance, Wilson will now see his name go into the league records.

The winning manager said, "When someone hits three home runs, you put yourself in a tough position to win. We were lucky to win this one. I don't think it matters how hard you throw, especially in the Colonial League. If you leave a ball out over the plate to good Continental Baseball League hitters, if they get a bead on you and you leave it over the middle, they're probably going to take a pretty good hack at it."

Danny Wilson hit a two-run home run off Curt Snyder in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Jim Sorley in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Cam Neal in the 9th.

Thus far this season Wilson has hit .256 with 25 home runs, 56 RBIs and scored 54 times.
