Big Bat Pays Off, Coffman Player of the Week Monday, August 17th, 1992 Irondale Steelers first baseman Jason Coffman rose above the controversy surrounding his soon-to-expire contract, thriving under pressure last week and copping the Player of the Week award in the Colonial League. Coffman put up a .435 batting average (10-23) with 4 home runs, 6 RBIs and scored 7 times. To date, Coffman has collected 134 hits for a .331 average. He has posted 32 home runs, scored 86 runs and driven in 83 runs. |
