Thursday, September 12th, 1991
At Mountainview Stadium today David Jones put his name atop of the single-season hit list with hit number 185. The Mount Sterling Gladiators star replaced Tim MacIntosh as the all-time leader. Teasing with the press after the game Jones said, "Hey, guys. I'm nothing special as a hitter. I only have two arms, two legs and 185 hits."

David Jones hit a two-run home run off Chad Hansford in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd and hit a two-run single in the 4th.

So far this season Jones is batting .348 with 33 home runs, 105 RBIs and 102 runs scored. He has 185 hits in 532 at-bats, 54 walks and a .412 OBP. Jones has played in 141 games.
