Star of the Week Awarded in FL Monday, September 9th, 1991 So far in his young career, Mark McBride has kept a low profile, but after his performance at the plate last week, he attracted the notice of the rest of the Federal League in a big way as he was named the Player of the Week today for his efforts. The 23-year-old Fremont Tigers shortstop hit at a torrid .520 clip as he collected 13 hits in 25 at-bats, 3 home runs, 7 RBIs and 5 runs scored. Thus far this year McBride is hitting .297 with 10 home runs, 62 RBIs and 45 runs scored. |
