CL Selects Rookie Star of the Month Sunday, September 1st, 1991 Alfred Roberts earned August's Rookie of the Month honors in the Colonial League for last month's performance. The boyish Irondale left fielder might be wet behind the ears, but he's proving that he has what it takes to play at this level. Roberts hit .259 with 2 home runs, 11 RBIs and 16 runs scored this past month on his way to winning the award. This year Roberts has hit at a .213 pace and produced 40 RBIs, 7 home runs and scored 44 runs. |
