August's Best CL Hitter is Tom Jenkins Sunday, September 1st, 1991 When Tom Jenkins stepped up to the plate in August, he did it with confidence and today he was honored with the Colonial League Batter of the Month award. The young Liberty (C) left fielder posted a .376 batting average with 9 home runs, 21 RBIs and scored 16 runs. Jenkins also worked pitchers for 17 walks to post a .480 on-base percentage.
