Great Week for Kingston's Jorge Sánchez
Monday, July 1st, 1991
A hot-hitting week got Jorge Sánchez the Federal League Player of the Week trophy. He really wore out his welcome with league pitchers.
The Kingston left fielder slammed them for a .379 average, 11 hits in 29 at-bats, 2 home runs, 8 RBIs and scored 4 runs.
In the postgame press conference, Sánchez shared his hitting philosophy with the BNN scribes: "Just look for the seams and hit between them... nothin' more than that."
This year Sánchez is batting .260 with 11 home runs. He has scored 43 runs and driven in 46.
