Great Week for Kingston's Jorge Sánchez Monday, July 1st, 1991 A hot-hitting week got Jorge Sánchez the Federal League Player of the Week trophy. He really wore out his welcome with league pitchers. The Kingston left fielder slammed them for a .379 average, 11 hits in 29 at-bats, 2 home runs, 8 RBIs and scored 4 runs. In the postgame press conference, Sánchez shared his hitting philosophy with the BNN scribes: "Just look for the seams and hit between them... nothin' more than that."
