David Jones treated the spectators on hand at M&M's Field to a record-setting performance. During today's game, the Mount Sterling star established a new record for hits in a season. Hit number 176 surpassed the mark set previously by Jason Coffman. The fans rewarded Jones with an enthusiastic ovation.

David Jones grounded out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd and hit an RBI double in the 5th.

So far on the season Jones is hitting .348 with 25 home runs, 88 RBIs and 82 runs scored. He has 176 hits and played in 123 games.
