Colonial League Selects Best Performer
Monday, August 20th, 1990
It can be difficult for a young player to step out of the shadows and assert himself in the Colonial League, but last week Stephen Osborne of the Capital City Senators reminded everyone just why he's here as he threw up numbers that made him an easy selection for Player of the Week. Osborne rocked opposing pitching for a .500 average (9-18), 3 home runs and 5 RBIs to come away with the award.
This year Osborne is batting .348 with 3 home runs and 11 RBIs. In 16 games he has scored 10 times.
