MacIntosh Tags Navigators for 5 Hits Tuesday, August 14th, 1990 At Navigators Ballpark Tim MacIntosh was the King of Swing today in the 18-3 win over the Navigators. The Liberty second baseman stepped into the batter's box 7 times against the Newport and delivered 5 hits. It was a sensational game for him. He told the press, "Unbelievable feeling. It felt good. 5 for 7! It does wonders for your batting average, too." Tim MacIntosh singled in the 1st, hit a two-run double in the 1st, flied out in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th, hit an RBI triple in the 6th, grounded out in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 9th. This season MacIntosh is hitting .318 with 5 home runs. |
