Jones Receives Updated Diagnosis Wednesday, July 25th, 1990 Roosevelt Jones will have to wait a while longer. The Capital City starting pitcher was informed this afternoon that he will miss another 7 weeks with shoulder inflammation. The injury has kept him off the field since 07/21/1990. Though Jones had hoped to return soon, he has no choice but to be patient. "Gotta stay focused," he said. "Gotta stay positive." This season Jones has gone 9-4 with an ERA of 2.41, posting 127 strikeouts in 145.2 innings. |
