Hill Expected to Miss 4 Months Monday, August 21st, 1989 Since 08/19/1989, when he suffered a torn labrum, John Hill has been waiting. Waiting to hear how badly he injured himself during that day's game. Today word came down from the doctors that the Irondale center fielder would miss 4 months. "It could have been better", said Hill, "but it also could have been much worse." This year Hill has 14 home runs and a .285 batting average. |
