MacIntosh Sets New Single-Season Hit Record Sunday, August 13th, 1989 Tim MacIntosh of the Portsmouth Clippers is an amazing hit machine. Today he passed the legendary Mike Pryor with his 164th hit, establishing a new league single-season mark. MacIntosh commenting on what his new record means to him, he said, "It means I helped my team win a lot of games this year. That's the important thing."
