Banks Sensational, 5-6 Wednesday, August 9th, 1989 The Kingston Lions upended the Newport Navigators at Navigators Ballpark today in large part to second baseman Alvin Banks, who had a smashing day with the bat -- he racked up 5 hits in 6 at-bats -- and help propel the Lions to a 9-0 victory. Alvin Banks singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 5th, doubled in the 7th, grounded out in the 8th and singled in the 9th.
