CL's Top Pitcher in July Is Snyder Tuesday, August 1st, 1989 In July, Curt Snyder tore through the Colonial League like a seasoned veteran -- quite impressive for a player only 23 years old. The young Irondale starter posted a 5-0 mark and an ERA of 0.71 to earn the Pitcher of the Month award. In 38 innings he collected 35 strikeouts while limiting the opposition to a .141 average. So far in 24 appearances this season, Snyder has recorded 14 wins and sustained 6 losses. He has pitched 153 innings, yielded 92 hits, fanned 138 and has a 2.12 ERA. |
