Park City-Capital City Trade Confirmed
Monday, July 17th, 1989
BNN has learned the Park City Patriots have reportedly worked out a deal with the Capital City Senators. Sources close to the Patriots indicated that a trade has been reached in principle where 30-year-old right fielder Kent Ball and 21-year-old center fielder Davey Simons will be swapped to Park City with 33-year-old center fielder Reid Lee and $3,000,000 in cash heading to Capital City. Neither organization would comment on the report, saying it was club policy not to speak about a trade until it was finalized.

This year Lee is batting .246 with 87 hits and 23 home runs. He has scored 49 times and has batted in 57 runs.

This season Ball is batting .287 with 10 home runs.
