Hill Boosts Hit Streak to 20 Games Sunday, June 25th, 1989 Chalk up another one for Irondale center fielder John Hill. He now has hit in 20 straight games. Hill went 1-for-3 today's game at Pioneer Park. However, his club was defeated 8-1 by Newport. John Hill singled in the 1st, flied out in the 2nd, grounded out in the 5th and walked in the 7th. Thus far this season Hill has hit .271 with 5 home runs, 22 RBIs and scored 33 times. |
