Ball Raps Newport for 5 Hits Saturday, June 17th, 1989 Today Kent Ball led Capital City to a 11-3 victory over the Newport Navigators. He stoked 5 hits in 5 at-bats to spark his club in the win. Kent Ball hit an RBI single in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and hit a three-run home run off Lowell Holmes in the 8th.
