Number 163 by Parker Puts Name Atop Hit List Saturday, August 20th, 1988 The sensational season continued for Joseph Parker at M&M's Field. In today's game, Parker broke the single-season hit record established by Mike Pryor. It was hit number 163 for the Capital City Senators' third baseman. Parker called it "a moment I'll remember the rest of my life." Joseph Parker hit a two-run home run off Gregg Scott in the 1st and walked in the 3rd. Posting a .323 batting average to date, Parker has 25 home runs and 73 RBIs. |
