Setback for Capital City and Kent Ball
Saturday, July 18th, 1987
Just when it looked like Kent Ball would soon return to the Capital City Senators, the right fielder suffered yet another setback in his recovery from a knee sprain. According to his doctors, treatment was progressing well until yesterday, when Ball experienced quite a bit of pain during a workout. Further examination revealed he had caused more damage and would now be disabled for at least 1-2 weeks.
Hitting .263 to date, Ball has 1 home run and 14 RBIs. He has played in 22 games.
