Ken Bradley Hurt, Out 5 Weeks
Wednesday, July 8th, 1987
The Portsmouth Clippers were dealt a severe blow when Ken Bradley was hurt running the bases recently in a game against the Liberty Giants. After the game, the team trainer reported Bradley might have to spend a lengthy time on the disabled list. Today doctors confirmed it, ruling the 37-year-old right fielder out for the rest of the season with a strained oblique. They indicated it would take Bradley at least 5 weeks to heal.

This year Bradley is hitting at a .309 pace with 24 home runs and 76 RBIs. He has played in 89 games and scored 58 times.
