CL Selects Rookie Star of the Month Wednesday, August 1st, 1984 Alberto Zambrano earned July's Rookie of the Month honors in the Colonial League for last month's performance. The boyish Park City first baseman might be wet behind the ears, but he's proving that he has what it takes to play at this level. Zambrano hit .352 with 1 home run, 8 RBIs and 18 runs scored this past month on his way to winning the award. Zambrano is presently batting .273 with 10 home runs, 52 runs scored and 47 RBIs. His OBP is .330. |
