Update: Wiedle Out 5 Weeks Tuesday, July 31st, 1984 Mike Wiedle could soon be placed on the disabled list. The Capital City third baseman told reporters that he expects to be "out of commission" for 5 weeks because of a sprained ankle. He hasn't played since 07/29/1984 and, he said, he's "itchin' to get back out there." Wiedle is presently hitting at a .294 pace with 10 home runs and 40 RBIs. He has played in 90 games and scored 45 times. |
