MacIntosh Sets New Single-Season Hit Record

Tim MacIntosh of the Portsmouth Clippers has reached the top of the charts in baseball. He now has the most hits in a season -- a new league record. MacIntosh put number 155 in the scorebook in a game at Pioneer Park to pass the previous recor dholder, Harry Cooper. Speaking to the press after his record-breaking game MacIntosh said, "Hitting a baseball is a God-given talent. I'm just thankful He blessed me."

Tim MacIntosh struck out in the 1st, struck out in the 2nd and singled in the 4th.

In his season totals MacIntosh has 2 home runs and a .337 batting average.
