3 Roundtrippers for Reyes
Sunday, June 24th, 1984
Guillermo Reyes, first baseman for the Capital City Senators, had a whale of a game, rocketing three balls out of Senators Ballpark against the Irondale Steelers today in their 8-5 victory.

After the game he said, "I got some good pitches to hit and I creamed them. The first was a big, fat fastball and the last two were hanging curves... all three were mistakes."

For the game Reyes was 4-4 with 4 RBIs and 3 runs scored.

Reyes added, "There's a fine line between hitting home runs and line drives. Today I found the home run stroke."

Guillermo Reyes hit a solo-shot off Lonnie Stewart in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Lonnie Stewart in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Keith Jones in the 5th and singled in the 7th.

So far on the season Reyes is hitting .270 with 19 home runs, 51 RBIs and 38 runs scored. He has 73 hits and played in 75 games.
