CL Player of the Week Named Monday, August 2nd, 1982 Dave Bartlett is respected by most Newport Navigators fans for his no-frills style of play. The 34-year-old catcher went about his business with vigor last week to grab the Colonial League Player of the Week honors. He compiled a .421 average (8-19) with 3 home runs, 7 RBIs and 8 runs scored. Presently Bartlett is batting .347 with 38 home runs and 90 RBIs. He has played in 103 games and scored 101 times. |
