Capital City's Reyes Acclaimed Best CL Hitter Sunday, August 1st, 1982 When Guillermo Reyes stepped up to the plate in July, he did it with confidence and today he was honored with the Colonial League Batter of the Month award. The young Capital City first baseman posted a .342 batting average with 13 home runs, 37 RBIs and scored 27 runs. Reyes also worked pitchers for 13 walks to post a .419 on-base percentage. This season Reyes has hit at a .268 clip with 87 RBIs, 26 home runs and 60 runs scored. He has played in 96 games. |
