CL Selects Rookie Star of the Month Saturday, August 1st, 1981 Youngster Pat Howard emerged as the latest Colonial League Rookie of the Month today. The young man from Portsmouth deserved the honor, batting .309 with no home runs and 13 runs batted in. Is the month of July a harbinger of things to come or just a fluke? We'll find out someday, but for now, we'll just let Howard enjoy the limelight. This year Howard is batting .246 with 2 home runs and 31 RBIs. |
