Injury Worsens, Return Delayed For Cyclones Bascombe Wednesday, September 23rd, 1998 The Centerville Cyclones will have to do without right fielder Travis Bascombe even longer than expected. Team doctors say that Bascombe's recovery from a separated shoulder has not gone well and more time will be needed to treat it successfully. The Cyclones trainer indicated it would be at least 4 days before they would consider activating Bascombe. For the season Bascombe has produced 139 hits in 478 at-bats for a .291 average with 14 home runs and gotten on base at a .327 clip. |
