That's All She Wrote: Career Over for Harrington Monday, September 14th, 1998 Choking back tears, Bill Harrington announced his retirement today. Harrington suffered a torn labrum on 09/11/1998. The Fremont third baseman said, "Baseball has been such a huge part of my life and I am going to miss it. Though my playing days are over, I hope I can find a way to continue to be a part of it." For the season Harrington is batting .280 with 141 hits and 26 home runs. He has scored 72 times and batted in 79. |
