FL's Best Player, Armstrong of Mount Sterling Monday, September 14th, 1998 Mike Armstrong demonstrated his potential to be a star in the game last week and today he took home the Federal League Player of the Week Award. The Mount Sterling right fielder wreaked havoc on opposing pitchers last week, pounding them for a .455 average (10-22) with 4 home runs and 8 RBIs on his way to claiming the honor. So far this year Armstrong is batting .276 with 9 home runs, 60 RBIs and 54 runs scored. |
