August's Top Hurler is Morgan Tuesday, September 1st, 1998 Alan Morgan's been around the league long enough to appreciate the honor he received today. After going 4-0 in August, the 29-year-old Newport hurler has been named Colonial League Pitcher of the Month. He fanned 46 in 41.1 innings, logged an ERA of 1.74 and allowed opponents to hit .179 against him. His record this year is 13-6 in 27 starts and Morgan has a 2.49 ERA. |
