Trevor Bell Sidelined for 8 Weeks
Friday, August 7th, 1998
The Kingston Lions were dealt a severe blow when Trevor Bell was hurt throwing a pitch recently in a game against the Fremont Tigers. After the game, the team trainer reported Bell might have to spend a lengthy time on the disabled list. Today doctors confirmed it, ruling the 28-year-old closer out for the rest of the season with bone chips in his elbow. They indicated it would take Bell at least 8 weeks to heal.

To date, his season stats show Bell has 20 saves with a 6-4 mark and 1.66 ERA.
