Stewart Named July's #1 Newcomer Saturday, August 1st, 1998 Colton Stewart is still a bit shy, but then, who could blame the newest Federal League Rookie of the Month honoree? He hasn't been around the league long enough to fully know the ropes yet, despite the fact that he's putting up veteran-like numbers. In July the Fremont hitter tagged opposing pitching for a .385 average with 25 hits, no home runs and 5 RBIs. Presently Stewart is batting .307 with 1 home run and 17 RBIs. He has played in 64 games and scored 17 times. |
