Ward Injury Update Monday, September 8th, 1997 Since 09/05/1997, when he suffered a torn ligament in his thumb, Bob Ward has been waiting. Waiting to hear how badly he injured himself during that day's game. Today word came down from the doctors that the Capital City left fielder would miss 4 weeks. "It could have been better", said Ward, "but it also could have been much worse." For the year Ward is batting .265 with 12 home runs, 63 RBIs and 63 runs scored. |
