Capital City's León Gets CL Player of the Week Monday, September 8th, 1997 His hard work and hustle paid off this week. The hard-working and hard-playing Tony León was rewarded with the Colonial League Player of the Week honors. The scrappy Capital City Senators first baseman hit .440 while collecting 11 hits in 25 at-bats, 3 home runs and 6 RBIs. So far in 1997 León is batting .241 with 11 home runs, 49 RBIs and 34 runs scored. He has 90 hits in 374 at-bats and a .309 OBP. |
